Sometimes it's not the photo. There is certainly nothing extraordinary about this image. But my 90-year old mother got her first smart phone today and I asked my 8-year old granddaughter to show her how to text. Wow, just thinking of the bonding experience alone was a victory though I suspect texting will take a while for my mother to completely absorb - a good day regardless.
Hope all mothers celebrating enjoyed a good Mother's Day!
Scott, I love this, and it brings back so many memories. My mother wanted a computer so badly so we got her one -- She was 90 years old at the time. She wanted to be able to email our family in Canada and us and her grandkids here at home. It took awhile, but she caught on!! I still miss those daily messages from her. She passed away at 97 in 2004.
What a wonderful image. How much has changed since your mother was your grand daughters age. Gramophones, ( record players), and the radio was just starting. No television, photography was still Mono tone, and very slow, mains electric was rare, telephones might get to next county. Now instant contact around the world, lovely your mother can enjoy some of the latest technology.
Scott, what a classic capture of bridging the generation gap! Your comp presents their body language, attention and engagement in such a lovely way. Very nice one for the album :-)
