These wonderful little plants just amaze me - they seem to have not roots; need no earth in order to grow; survive extreme cold and come back in the spring ready to delight again!
We saw a wonderful mixed collection of Sempervirons, Chicken and Hens, yesterday at Harrogate Spring show, lots of different colours and one which was called Arachnoidies and was as though covered in cobwebs. Around here they are also called Houseleek and were often grown on top of outside toilet roofs. :o)
