It rained very heavily most of the day today and I was not sure I was going to be able to get out to take some pictures. However, late this afternoon the rain let up and I grabbed my cameras and headed out to my garden. I am amazed at how much everything is growing - there are buds on the trees so I guess Spring is really coming!
The rain made everything stand out so much more - the rocks glistened, the greens were greener, the tree bark took on such character. And then I looked up at this tree that has been growing for so long (probably 80+ years) - we have been here for 46 years and this is the first time I noticed this face - can you see him? Small sunken eyes, hooked nose and large jowly cheeks. He faces the house so maybe he is our guardian tree spirit that protects and watches over us.
