The rose I received today from my wonderful husband was in honour of being short listed for the Toronto Volunteer Awards for 2020 for my work in the school library. I was nominated by my Vice Principal in January and really had forgotten all about it with the onset of Covid when everything more of less stopped. So it was a lovely surprise to realise that I was one of 24 shortlisted out of 100 applications. I just love doing what I'm doing to help the staff and students get more enjoyment with books!
