Oban harbour

Filler from 27 May - the amazing colours of Oban Harbour
We were there overnight, staying in the Youth Hostel down the bay, on our way to Kerrera and then Mull, then returned back through on our way back to London - stunning place. We stayed there at Christmas too, but the weather wasn't good enough to visit the Hebrides, so we came back
The marina in the background is the marina at the north end Kerrera, we stayed at the south end that night.
Stunningly beautiful Shanne, big fav.

Beautiful shot. I find the red rooftops interesting as these are also what I see at Whiskey Point Lighthouse on Beaver Island. I wonder if there is something about that color and nautical life?

@taffy that building is a restaurant - there are beautiful coloured buildings along the front, coming round to the right from there - amazing places

I have been back tracking your project to re find these shots! Saw them originally when I couldn't comment. What a great trip to have made, it looks so beautiful. I went to Oban and round the kyles of bute when I was about 10 I think but really can't remember it.

@jennywren thank you for going back and looking - it was amazing and I want to go back - the bunk house on Kerrera was fantastic as was the bunk house on Iona and I enjoyed the hostel at Tobermory, although if I went back to Mull I'd want to stay more centrally and take a bike. But we want to see Coll and Tiree - I have the bunkhouse there bookmarked - and to go back to Skye and visit the other Hebrides ...
