Read Responsibly

When I was finishing up my MLIS studies, I went to the 2007 American Library Association Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. I was able to satisfy some of my graduations requirements by attending the different programs, I met a lot of people, and I had a very good time down there.

One of my favorite parts of the event was meeting Gene and Bill, the creators of the Unshelved comic strip. Unshelved ( http://www.unshelved.com/) is a library-based webcomic, and it's incredibly clever. I bought this poster at the conference, and Gene and Bill both signed it.

The poster now hangs, framed, in my study. It was hard photographing it, especially since the light in the study isn't great, and I couldn't use flash because of the frame, but I stood up on a chair and gave it my best try. While this isn't a wonderful capture from an artistic point of view, I'm nonetheless satisfied that I was able to get a decent enough shot of it.
