This morning my husband and I had a small miscommunication. He thought that I said that I was going to make cookies this morning, and was disappointed when I said that I wasn't planning on doing that.
I felt bad about disappointing him. So when he and the boys were volunteering today at the county's Renaissance Faire, I whipped up a batch of Oatmeal Brownie Drops.
My theory about cookie recipes is that I take Nestle's and Hershey's recipes and follow them slavishly - these companies have every incentive to provide foolproof recipes so that you'll keep buying their products. For the most part, that theory has worked well for me.
