It seems a little late in the season for birds to be laying eggs, but my husband noticed a couple building a nest in a bush near our house.
It's a little high up for me to get an optimum view of it, and also hard to focus on the dark nest on this sunny day, but I got a few decent shots off. I chose this one as my photo du jour because it gives a sense of just how large this nest is as compared to the bird.
