Under the Verrazano

We arrived home from our cruise today. The last time we cruised, we arrived in New York Harbor on a beautiful morning and I was able to take some nice photos. This morning I wasn't so lucky - we had to deal with a heavy fog, so my planned photo of the Statue of Liberty didn't turn out.

So I went with this shot instead, not because it's fabulous photography but because it's an unusual one. Back in November, I ran over the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge during the New York City Marathon. On the cruise, we sail under the bridge, for a very different vantage point.
Great capture. Glad you made it back safe

That's a shame...I saw the Statue of Liberty the other day when I was downtown by Battery Park and I was going to go back and take a photo and forgot because I had to use the bathroom....I guess we both missed our shot! I want to bring the kids to Ellis Island before the summer is over. I've been there many times but my kids have never and since Brie is leaving soon I want her to see it.

I like this shot..it's very industrial!

Thanks Isis.

I took the same shot three years ago, with better lighting. But you gotta take the weather as it comes....

I know! Crazy weather we are having...it's another day that I will be in the pool all day.

The fountain is in Princeton by the University over on Washington. We should go there sometime and take photos....there is so much to photograph! Too bad its so hot today...I went last night for a bit to snap a few photos.
