Got Popcorn? by sharonlc

Got Popcorn?

I took my D60 to Citi Field today, even though I usually shoot with my D7000 these days, because three years ago today I bought the D60. Going back to the old camera for the day makes me really appreciate just how much nicer shooting with the D7000 is.

I wasn't thrilled with most of my shots today - it was hard catching the action on the field as sharply as I would have liked ( a combination of the camera and my lens choice - the 18-200. I can get away with the jack-of-all-trades lens more easily with the D7000 than with the D60). But late in the game I went up to the Promenade to visit a friend, and I noticed this pigeon perched on the railing. He was obviously hoping that the fan sitting in front of him would drop some of that popcorn - I was happy to get a couple of shots of him before he flew away.
Haha! Great catch

VEry cool shot...I think this one was really good. I do that too...I have 3 cameras and I like to switch around and see which one I do better with. I love my T2i but my little hand held digital Canon is still pretty good for a lot of photos. I even use my cell phone sometimes! I really like the focus on this photo...the blurred background looks interesting.

Thanks Isis :)

My D7000 is my best camera, by a longshot. But sometimes I have to pack for mobility. When we were at the game on Monday with the boys I just took my P90 point-and-shoot - I had to be more of a mom and less of a photographer that evening.

And thanks - I do like going for bokeh, and would like to get better at that over time :)
