This is my friend Jacquie. She and I graduated from library school together, although we didn't know each other at the time. But we met through mutual friends (ah, the wonders of Facebook), and became training buddies last spring as we were both preparing for the Broad Street Run.
Jacquie spent this summer training for her first half marathon, the Disneyland Half Marathon. I know she was a little nervous about the distance, but I knew that she'd do brilliantly. She finished the race nicely and took a lot of fabulous photos on the course that I totally envy ;)
We met up for a run this morning, but before we got down to business Jacquie was gracious enough to let me photograph her with her race shirt and medal.
Jacquie - I am SO proud of you - you conquered that Magical Mountain!
