In the 40's and 50's my Grandfather Keenan had a 40-seat movie theatre in the upstairs living quarters of his funeral home on Howard Avenue in New Haven, CT. At my Dad's house yesterday I found one of the guest books and some of the movies; fascinating stuff. This movie was a news reel and it has a tag with my Grandfather's handwriting on it that says "Midway & Coral Sea Battles".
What a cool find! I must say that I find it interesting that he had a movie theatre above the funeral home...quite a combination and quite the entrepreneur! Neat shot of your find.
