I posted this guy back in September when I first took the photo. In September, I got brave and joined a sort-of local camera club. Each month they do a competition which is theme-based. October's theme is "Using Black & White to Build Mood & Drama." I thought of this one, but knew there needed to be som re-editing. And so I've re-edited it. Three different times. Tonight. And now my eyes are shot! Anyway, here it is, and any commentary would be greatly appreciated! (I'm not entering the contest to win anything. Just looking to improve my skills thru regular critique.)
Nice processing although I think I prefer the other b&w shot as this one is a touch too grainy for me. It is so good to see three different versions of the same shot. The colour version is good too.
I love the composition and vignette but I agree with Babs @onewing about preferring the other more sepia b&w version. I do think this has plenty of mood and drama though, as does the other one - both great shots
@dmcoile Thanks Dianna! I've got 2 shots for your challenge but haven't gotten them posted yet. They're not what I was hoping for, but I haven't found "the one" yet.... :-)
