Well, I thought working 12+ hour days every single day was bad enough, but I've discovered something markedly worse: trying to move into a new apartment while working 12+ hour days. Yes, I'm moving for the fifth time in the last two years to another sublet up the coast. Sigh. Thankfully I have a car this time, and no furniture, but it's still pretty painful. I used to relish the fact that I could pack my whole life into a couple boxes and change my surroundings frequently without being tied down to anything, but I've grown increasingly tired of it. This time, my move is for logistical reasons and I'm only staying in this sublet for a few months. I truly hope that wherever I move after that is somewhere I'll stay for a long time.
