This morning, we arrived in stunning Rio de Janeiro. We spent the afternoon touring Rocinha, a Brazilian favela (shanty town). Many favelas, including Rocinha, are perched on Rio's steep hillsides and overlook some of the city's richest neighborhoods. Here is a view of the favela from one of its highest points.
