NYC is the best when it's not too hot/cold and not too crowded. Sadly, this combo is rare. But late August seems to be when most New Yorkers have gone out of town to squeeze in some beach time and the weather is no longer at 99% humidity. So it's the perfect time to enjoy NYC gems like the Met rooftop.
