An old Photo from late 70's taken with trusty old Nikon FE on Ilford film. This is a typical image of many industrial area's of the UK. These particular streets were in the Newport area of Middlesbrough in the North East. They were demolished in 1990's
Yes the memories are all too vivid!! to the right of where I'm stood taking this photo is my nana's (grandmother) back yard. At the time of taking the photo she had had an extension built; so had a kitchen, bathroom and inside toilet. Only 10-12 years before you had to go outside to an outside toilet that was lite by paraffin lamp in winter and would freeze...!!! Best not discuss the toilet paper of this era.....
