St Nicholas Priory by sjc88

St Nicholas Priory

The Priory dates back to 1087. In the 16th Century it became a town house. In 1913 it was purchased by Exeter City Council, restored and opened as a museum. No idea the age of this stone masonry and carpentry.... primitive but solid.
Nice it is being used - that stone will last centuries and there are beams set in it which must have supported something at one time!
