We had a look round this beautiful house to day. It is said to be "the finest and best preserved fortified medieval manor house in England" .The timber - framed building in the background is the gatehouse. You can just see the flag , which is flying from the top of the castle tower.
Amazing Diana. I really love these old buildings and your castle looks straight out of a period drama on telly. Thanks for sharing your wonderful day :)
That is ironic Diana. Not too far from where I live, we have a fine dining establishment called Stokesay Castle. We held our senior prom there, and it looks just like a castle. I wonder if it is the same family, or related. It is an old structure, turned into a fine dining establishment. I must check it out.
Hi Diana, thanks for your quick response to my holiday pictures! The warmth was fabulous, I am so much a better person when I'm warm!! No aches and pains and sooooo relaxing! The knee loved the pool!! What have we come back to?? Work tomorrow and an autumn garden that needs a lot of attention! Oh and the ironing!!
