Stokesay Castle , by snowy

Stokesay Castle ,

We had a look round this beautiful house to day. It is said to be "the finest and best preserved fortified medieval manor house in England" .The timber - framed building in the background is the gatehouse. You can just see the flag , which is flying from the top of the castle tower.
Stunning building and great shot of it!

Amazing Diana. I really love these old buildings and your castle looks straight out of a period drama on telly. Thanks for sharing your wonderful day :)

That is ironic Diana. Not too far from where I live, we have a fine dining establishment called Stokesay Castle. We held our senior prom there, and it looks just like a castle. I wonder if it is the same family, or related. It is an old structure, turned into a fine dining establishment. I must check it out.

Wow, fantastic building, Diana. Even though it's medieval it manages to convey a very gothic look as well. Your photo has done it proud
