Lesser Celandine.

I spotted these celandines growing in the hedge row this morning, whilst taking Snowy for his walk. Its lovely to see these early spring flowers........ The flowers that bloom in the spring, Tra la, Breath the promise of merry sunshine. 1st lines ..W. S. Gilbert The Mikado.
they are gorgeous! I don't think I've ever seen this flower. Spring is my favorite time of year! Isn't it so pretty?

Beautiful. We have to propagate these from seed as they aren't native here, but people do grow them. Lovely to see them growing wild through your photo.

When i was in Sunday School we used to sing about celandines in May......I think things over the years are def blooming earlier. This is such a bright and cheery shot.

So pretty. Isn't it amazing how a few pretty flowers can brighten our day! Want to also say thank you for the kind words for my dad. I talked to my sister a few minutes ago...things are going downhill fast. He sees the cardiologist in the morning. We are hoping they will readmit him or put him in the veterans rehab center until he improves...it is getting scary as none of us are trained as nurses and he really needs more attention than we know how to give...
