Its our Wedding Anniversary today so I made a cake. Also Karen requested a photo of our Ray burn in action . Its really good for cooking, and there is always a kettle of boiling water on the hob for a cup of tea . plus it keeps the kitchen nice and warm.
The heart of the home !! If you have one of these Rayburns or similar you never ever want a house with out them !! Lovely photo Diana & Happy wedding anniversary !
Well, first, **Happy Anniversary**! You really packed a lot of good information into your caption! I was curious, too, about what was in the background behind Snowy, and today you added the word, "hob", which must also be British. We'd just say "the burner", but it has less character! You look as pretty as a bride should, and that cake both looks and sounds fabulous!
What a great selfie! And Happy Anniversary! Hope it was a wonderful day! So happy to see another shot of your Rayburn...really looks like such a practical appliance. Is this something a majority of people have in their kitchens ...it appears that it might be a very expensive appliance but it serves so any purposes. Are the 2 covered areas on top more burners where you can cook...sorry to ask so many questions but this thing really fascinates me!
Congratulations!
