Better Boys

I learned how to grow my own tomatoes in the 1970's. For 2012, we are growing three varieties - big boy, better boy and better bush. These fellas are from the better boy plant. I have a feeling we are going to have a good tomato season!
Ah! Green tomatoes. Too bad we can't buy them in the shops and I no longer have a garden!

@wordpixman Thanks, Arthur. Have you ever had fried green tomatoes?
@marieooi Thank you, Marie - a lot of the credit goes to Veronica!

Yes indeed. Love 'em, but don't often see them because the supermarkets only sell 'perfect' produce - ripe, red, and usually tasteless. I'll have to look again at the farmer's markets.

That's certainly green in more ways than one!

@wordpixman I like fried green tomatoes also. The supermarket tomatoes around here are pretty but tasteless. Nothing beats a homegrown tomato for taste!
@peadar Thanks!
