I learned how to grow my own tomatoes in the 1970's. For 2012, we are growing three varieties - big boy, better boy and better bush. These fellas are from the better boy plant. I have a feeling we are going to have a good tomato season!
Yes indeed. Love 'em, but don't often see them because the supermarkets only sell 'perfect' produce - ripe, red, and usually tasteless. I'll have to look again at the farmer's markets.
@wordpixman I like fried green tomatoes also. The supermarket tomatoes around here are pretty but tasteless. Nothing beats a homegrown tomato for taste! @peadar Thanks!
