Here is my tour guide, my oldest son Josh. He is 22 and moved to Manhattan after graduating college to seek his fame and fortune in the book publishing industry. I am very proud of him that he is making it in the Big Apple by himself!
The High Line is a linear park that used to be an elevated train track. The views of Manhattan are spectacular and the park is filled with beautiful plants and flowers. We had a great time at this park!
Veronica and I are leaving soon for the airport and Mexico - should be an interesting week! Internet access is going to be very spotty or none for the next week so if you don't hear or see from me for the next week, that's why.
Danny he is one fine looking young man. And 22 and on his own in the Big Apple! I have a 35 year old would be author getting his masters, late bloomer, and teaching his first English 101 class this Fall. Can we get them together? Andy needs a publisher.
Wow, have you been the traveling man! This is such a nice shot and good news for his life in the big city. My oldest son proposed to his fiancé very near here on the High Line!
@soboy5 Funny to think that you are in Mexico writing your post by the beach, and I am in Australia reading them pretty much at the same time. Enjoy your holiday and I look forward to seeing your photos when you return
@stuckinoz ;). It is an amazing world we live in re: technology. I hope to visit your beautiful country one day, Janelle - Veronica lived in Sydney for a year and she loved it!
Lovely photo, you must be proud of your son but miss him too! my eldest son is in the journalist/editing/book review business... It is very competitive.
@jackie8 Many thanks! And yes, I am proud of Josh and miss him. The publishing industry is a tough one - at times I wish he would have stuck with his original plan to become a doctor!
We walked this same trail in NYC in December, and the views are wonderful. We ended at the German Biergarten for a pint of ice cold beer, then walked to Lombardi's for the world's greatest pizza. It's really nice to see your son, Josh, succeeding at his dream. So many never even try.... congratulations to you both!
