Shy red flower
These beautiful red flowers were growing in the wild all over Tulum. I asked a local girl about them and she told me they are called the "shy flowers" as they close up at night and don't re-open until mid morning!

Thank you so much, Jessika - these were tricky flowers to capture as the Nikon had all kinds of trouble focusing on them.

They do look like it for sure, I am not so good on flowers but, just recall that they were so big. Thanks for the lovely reminder :-)
