On our final day in Vermont, we hiked Black Mountain. The Nature Conservancy has been protecting much of the acreage of this amazing ecosystem, which rises to a height of 1,204 feet above sea level. My hike was awe-inspiring, this ecosystem forms a cathedral of nature's majesty in the form of a forest the likes of which I have never experienced before. It was truly magical. Over the next few days, we will see a bit more of Black Mountain before we say goodbye to Vermont.
I haven't been to Vermont in many years!
beautiful woods and colors here.
