Joan Metsch

My favorite Aunt came to visit for the holidays - this is a portrait of my Aunt Joan, who is my late father's younger sister. Joan and her family moved to Westchester, a suburb of NYC, when I was a toddler growing up in the Bronx, and the two families saw each other every weekend. I fondly remember those weekends in the country, as that is what Westchester was in the early 1960's. Joan was also an excellent tennis player until she retired from tennis a few years ago. It was great to see her! She will be 79 in April and her mind is sharp as a tack!

Day 14 of my "35 days of 35mm" series

Lovely portrait, the processing works well.

I took your advice on my latest photo, and took time to compose my shots - yesterday I took only 52 photos instead if 100's ... Thank you!
