Fireplace

We've had a colder winter here in Georgia than last year, so I have really enjoyed using my fireplace in the evenings. Best viewed large, taken with my prime lens.
Me too Danny!....Love those warm tones & textures!

Awesome, Danny and great low key shot. We finally got to use our fireplace a couple times this past wk but whoooosh went back up to the 70s/80s again. We're having a very mild winter in FL.

Super shot - it's not as easy as it looks to get good fire shots :)

Nice capture of the fire.

beautiful fire place Danny starting to feel warm already.

The suspended flame is perfectly placed in the flame. Did you get this in one shot?

There have certainly been winter days to enjoy a crackling fire! Great texture on those logs.

Beautiful flame Danny.

@rvwalker Thanks, Ross. It took me two shots to get this. I also took a few horizontal orientation captures and will post my favorite one of those tomorrow.

Looks toasty warm!

think I'll turn mine on...Yours looks so inviting. Is it gas? We changed ours to gas a couple years ago. Love to push a button, I got a fire and no more bringing in logs and clean up..

@lesip Thanks, Leslie. Yes, I have gas logs and I love them - they are warm and clean, cost about $1 a night to have a roaring fire all night long and they heat up the entire den. I used to have real wood, there is nothing like a wood fire, but gas logs are so much easier (and cleaner burning).

Looks toasty! As you can imagine, our fireplace gets a lot use here in Utah. We were in Georgia in December 2010--it was SO cold while we were there. Miserable!!! I had no idea it got that cold there.

really nice to see the texture in the wood, but not blowing out the flame light

Nice shot. I actually got my tripod out the other night and tried this same shot... OK, mine did NOT look like this... that is why it is not posted on 365. Gas logs are the BEST ever. (never thought I would say that) LOL
NICE shot. Stay warm ..

This looks great Danny. The shadows really give such depth to the shot.. I still have the air conditioner on trying to stay cool.....
