"Well there she sits buddy just a-gleaming in the sun
There to greet a working man when his day is done
I'm gonna pack my pa and I'm gonna pack my aunt
I'm gonna take them down to the Cadillac Ranch
Eldorado fins, whitewalls and skirts
Rides just like a little bit of heaven here on earth
Well buddy when I die throw my body in the back
And drive me to the junkyard in my Cadillac..."
Cadillac Ranch is a poignant song by Bruce Springsteen about the inevitability of death.
These fins are from the iconic 1959 Cadillac, the vehicle with the most outrageous tailfins of any car ever made. Re-edited yesterday and best viewed large.
This is my 400th image (and my 20th day in a row of matching my images to song titles).
Of course I recognized this one. Custom car builders used to used these iconic taillights a lot. Red seems to be the color of choice for your car photos. Perfect angle for this classic.
Now that is how you take a good car shot!!! And congrats on image 400.
