Thanks for all the kind birthday wishes yesterday - very much appreciated. Now it is back to NYC and a different look at the Washington Square Arch. The tents were for a one night food tasting party - open to the public, you paid an admission fee and then got to taste food from various NYC restaurants. We passed on that and had pizza instead. Best viewed large.
Looks like a pretty day for a food festival. I like the angle of the arch and composition. Last time I was in this park was in the 80s with my daughter. We got some hot dogs from the street vendor and literally went 'barefoot in the park.' It looks a bit more sophisticated these days ;-)
This is a more unique view of the arch than the previous photo. It isn't easy to get a view of a famous place that hasn't been done hundreds of times, and this works very well.
