This is the view of Lower Manhattan from the Williamsburg, Brooklyn waterfront. The 104 story One World Trade Center (formerly known as The Freedom Tower) is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. If you enlarge this image, you will see the iconic Woolworth Building and other skyscrapers. The little black dot to the right of One World Trade Center is a helicopter.
Lovely shot I haven't seen the finished building, it looks very imposing. I love the Woolworth building, I remember the entrance hall being magnificent
I thought the two towers that got knocked down where the World Trade center... has it been re-built? Or is this another skyscraper, now used for the same purpose?
Great cityscape image with the One World skyscraper, Danny. Fav. Thanks for all the NYC pics, they've been super and some reminded me of my all-too-short visit in 2008, when I saw Ground Zero and the deep foundations of One World. Must get there again!
Love the daytime perspective... nice mix of styles of architecture... I am guessing that is residential housing on the city's perimeter along the river... great focus viewed large!
