After a wonderful trip to Sandestin, I returned home for two nights and then left for Apalachicola, Florida with friends for a four day photoshoot. Although it is only two hours east of Sandestin, Apalachicola is worlds apart - the town is a working fishing village, not a tourist destination. Today starts my Facebook five day black and white challenge and I'll show five mono images in a row from Apalachicola - this will be a preview of the much longer color series I have in store for you all.
The story behind 3 Amigos - we were leaving the best oyster bar I've ever been to (Apalachicola Bay is where 90% of Florida oysters are harvested) and while my friends were boarding their boat (nothing like arriving at an oyster bar by boat), I saw these three fellas posing for me and grabbed the Nikon for a quick shot of them. Looks nice on black.
This is fantastic in b&w. Great comp, really cool textures. I read once that you should always have your camera out until the last minute and this just proves the point. Bravo! Fav for b&w and the dof. Really like this!
@anazad511@gadaza@eyesmile Thanks for the kind words of support! It made PP today, so there is some justice in this world :)
@sissyaj Thanks for the fav, sissy and welcome to 365 - if you get a chance, can you go back and hit the "Fav" button? It is the star to the right of the date.
