Tucked away in the backwaters of the Apalachicola River, we discovered a number of floating shacks like this one. There is no land access to these "houseboats", and additional research has revealed that many of them are floating hunting camps which come alive every fall for squirrel hunting season. Even scarier, a smaller percentage of them serve as year-long residences! I could hear the banjos playing while we boated around these contraptions. This is day four of my five day facebook black and white challenge. Looks nice on black.
