Thanks for putting yesterday's "Zion Sandstone Cliffs" on PP. After taking that image, we rode horses up the canyon, gradually ascending 500 feet on the Sandbench trail. We passed through forests of juniper trees and the smell was intoxicating - just like gin and tonics. Finally, we arrived at the Court of the Patriarchs. The three peaks are named Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Being up here with these ancient monoliths was a religious experience. Someday I will return here with a modern camera that has better resolution than the 1.3 megapixels of my old Olympus, which was used for the entire American Southwest trip. Due to the lack of resolution, the details in this image did not survive noise reduction very well. But it was such a magnificent place, that I wanted to share it with you all anyway. Tomorrow, I'll show you the view directly behind where I stood to take this image.
Gorgeous. Fav! My one daughter and her family live in Arizona and they have shown us around some of the west and took us to the Grand Canyon. I loved the terrain out there.
Love your photos, Danny. Bringing back good memories. Did the trip from Atlanta to San Francisco and back again by motorcycle in 2013 and can't wait to do it all
again.
