Thanks for putting yesterday's "Life is just a tire swing" on PP (that makes 3 in a row on PP - a very rare occurrence for me). For today - I took a hike with my friends at Sweetwater Creek State Park. Located in the park are these amazing ruins of the Sweetwater/New Manchester Manufacturing Co. Completed in 1849, this 5 story textile mill was the tallest building in North Georgia at the time. It manufactured high quality cotton yarns and cloth until it was captured and burned by General Sherman's troops during the Civil War in 1864. I am going to do a short mini series on this park and the ruins this week.
How interesting! Happy to see part of it still stands to remind us of the history. How dare of Sherman's troops :-) Love, love, love the processing and the composition. Another fav.
