Somebody at the door

I thought this diptych looked sinister when I put it together. What do you think?
Very cool sir, great POV :)

Images fit together really well. Almost looks as if it could be one image.

@dextermurray would you believe I planned this to look like they could be one image.

@spanner Well you are an art teacher so you must have alot of spare time to think about these things haha

Oh yes, definitely sinister - I didn't even realise it was a diptych till I read that. Cool.

You have such a distinct style, very arty (and a touch sinister!!) I'm not surprised at all to read you are an art teacher!

Another great diptych ! With all those vertical lines you can indeed miss that there are 2 pics here. Sinister for sure (makes me think of those cheap horror films...). The only thing I don't like is the added vignetting - I really don't see what's the added value - but that's true for all photos using that effect...

@paulaw Thanks Paula - my secret identity has been revealed. Specialised in 3D design so am new to photography.

@channelf Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate your view on the vignetting, however in processing it seemed to add more atmosphere to the images. They were too 'clean' before processing. Looking at it again this morning I tend to agree with you. It is quite distracting isn't it.

Great diptych, I personally don't mind the vignetting, I had to look again after it was mentioned and I think it draws the two together which makes it look like one photo. Beautifully done and yes a touch sinister... always good !

I'd never heard of diptych before. But it looks so interesting!!

@bec2702 Give it a go, I really enjoyed doing them for a week although it did start to hurt my brain a bit.
September 16th, 2013
@spanner do you need a special program? I know that sounds silly but I have very little computer knowledge & absolutely no photo editing software..
September 16th, 2013
@bec2702 I used pic monkey. It is an online editing program that is free (although there is a limitation to what you can do). If you become an Ace member on this site I think you get Pic monkey as well. I did not, I just used what was free as I am cheap and tight fisted,,,,, If you can download to this site I am sure you can do picmonkey.

@spanner Thanks. I am also cheap & tight fisted, haha.
