Lines on the deck

Continuing with the theme lines. I had this idea yesterday. Inspired by David Hockney. I am pleased with how this turned out as it is how I planned. Not often I can write that!

@marissah @ilovepotassium__megg Hello. I don't use the site in this way. I follow people whose photo's interest me or who are actively offering opinions and views on my work. Thank you for taking the time to look, please feel free to comment.

I like that I had to think about how you did this for a second! Very striking, and creative......a fav!

@allisonraposa thanks Allison. I am glad you like it. Delighted it is on your list of fav's.

Very cool composition! I'm not quite sure I understand how you achieved this. Is it a collage of a series of images? The result is striking.
October 9th, 2013
@pflaume yes it is a series of pictures taken from one view point and overlapped in processing.

@spanner Very clever processing! I suspect it was a lot of work. :) It really is a great result.

Great image - obviously the result of a lot of work. Just had a look at some of your previous shots (currently hampered by eyesight problems) - and you certainly do some interesting points of view and compositions and there is a certain quirkyness about your images that rather appeals to me. For this reason, I'll be following you.

Nice shoes, great idea and processing ! (and I've lost again 30' reading on David Hockney and checking his work... thank you for that ! )
It's a good sign when the results match the plan !

@mzzhope thanks Hope. Lovely to hear from you.

@channelf thanks very much. I hope you like Hockney's work and that it as a fruitful 30 mins.

Very clever and groovy end result. I like the barrelling and distortion to it. Kinda goes against all the technological advances we seek out in this game! Looking forward to where this takes you.
October 10th, 2013
@quixoticneophyte Thanks Alexander. I am glad you like all the distortion etc. I am quite excited by this technique. Hopefully I will be able to do it some justice.
