Also, Lightroom is terrifying at first...but after about two months you get used to it. It certainly makes me look like an average photographer rather than a complete balls up.
You will love lightroom. It's your digital dark room. I would start at the top and work your way down. Please ask questions if you need help. We are here for you. This photo is amazing!
@louuncouth He does look older here. In reality he still looks like a 8 month old because he has a big old bubble head.
The whole organisation of the files is hurting my brain rather than the editing itself (although I have a long way to go with that). Aperture was really simple - import and organised.
I made a book by the way. I am not sure it is going to be a best seller. I also had a go at a website with the idea that I might exhibit. Changed my mind about that though.
@aprilmilani I just don't understand the file organising system. Importing, exporting and editing is fine I think. Am I exporting the actual image or a copy?
@spanner When you upload a copy is saved to your computer and in Lr. So the copy you have made an edit to in Lr is changed but the one on your computer stays the same. You can always make a virtual copy in Lr. That way you have both.
Youtube can be a good antidote to software fright.
