I'm honored to introduce Kira, my six kilograms, wonderful, eight years old, brown, little princess.
I want to tell you her story...
She was walking alone in the middle of the road.
When my wife and I found her, we said something like: "Hey little dog, who are you, are you alone?" and she came immediately.
In Italy microchipping the dogs is mandatory so we took her to the veterinary hoping to find some information about her.
It was late, so we left the dog to the vet but we agreed to come back the day after and, if there wouldn't be any news, we were willing to adopt her.
One day passed and we got back to the vet. He found the microchip and the owner, a woman who took the dog from the dog pound only fifteen days earlier.
The vet told us the woman didn't want the dog back because her grandchild took all her attention and she couldn't look after the dog. When she knew our wish she was happy to leave the dog to us. Talking with the vet we knew some information: the former owner called the dog Kira, she was 6 months old (estimated, but more probably one or two months younger), she stayed in the dog pound for a month where she was microchipped, vaccinated and spayed. Before the dog pound we know nothing about her.
We didn't wait a moment to take Kira with us.
There are Angels in life and you and your wife are among those special individuals. I am a firm believer in animal rescues. We have adopted two dogs before and am in between adoptees currently. I love the way you introduced her with such a gentle look. Look forward to seeing more of her.
