The Arena and the wing

The Arena is famous in the world because it's used for concert and opera. But not everyone knows that the original appearance of the Arena is not the current one.
The catastrophic earthquake in 1117 heavily damaged the Arena of Verona. On this occasion the outer ring collapsed, leaving only a small portion of four arches, the characteristic "wing" of the Arena. The outer ring was impressive, consisting of three overlapping arches' rows, all in limestone and decorated with frames and statues.
What a wonderful shot of the Arena A FAV

This is a very impressive shot. So glad that a portion of the original is still standing. The stories that it could tell.

Beautiful nightshot. When do you go out to take those photos without people? I guess Verona is full of tourists.

Thank you very much

You're right. Verona is full of tourists but at night it's possible to find places with few of them. When I took this photo there were people all around me. I had to wait ten minutes that some of them moved away. Actually in the photo there is someone but it's barely visible so I decided to shoot anyway.
