Gloomy Ride

Following a short day at work (yay holiday hours), Michael and I went out for a quick 20 mile ride. This is an old railroad bridge that has been converted into a bike bridge along the trail. One of my favorite bridges to ride over; it crosses the Monongahela.

Great bridge, fantastic textures on the old metal. I love re-purposed infrastructure - especially when it involves cycling. We have something similar here in Sydney.

@berniecarpenter Me too! This trail is part of the Rails to Trails ( http://www.railstotrails.org/index.html). They work to turn old railroad structures and routes into trials for biking and running.
