These old tracks are used at a walkway along the boat houses on Lake Union. In some sections people even have flowers growing in the gaps. In this section you can see the water underneath you. You'd better not misstep, or step on the tracks that have rotted. Slow and careful walking only.

If you're on the bike path along the canal on the Queen Anne side by SPU, go east under the Fremont bridge. You will come to a parking lot where the bike trail goes up an access road. Instead of taking that road up, I just stay close to the water and go through the parking lots. This spot is just before you're under the 99 bridge.
@stephomy You have no idea how happy it makes me that you gave me coordinates. People ask me all the time where pictures were taken. I post coords most of the time. I have been to other parts of that old rail line. Funny how bits and pieces of rail lines continue to exist.

Some parts are pretty sketchy. I was nervous watching a guy jog on them. I was ready to see him fall through the tracks.
