Ice Melt

@farmreporter Challenged me to to "focus in on the details of an object, but please do try to leave some context in the shot as well so we know what it is, where it is, and what it is for!"

Here are the details of a melting icicle. Where is it? Next to another icicle. What is it for? I find that life is much better when you don't dwell on what an icicle is for too much.

@stephomy Brings back memories of the KMGI interview with the Skiing Santa on Lake Washington (harbor master was upset with him because of the traffic slowing on the floating bridge). It was zero (0F) in Seattle and minus fourteen (-14F) out here.

This is a great shot, Stephomy. I find it is really difficult to do a good job of photographing icicles but you have done a great job here!

@byrdlip What year was that? I barely remember a particularly cold winter in the late 80's but I was just a kid then.

@stephomy somewhere between 85-91. As close as I can get. I might have it on tape somewhere, but I don't know if I could find it.
