I managed to get back from Nottingham in time to go and pick Alexis up from school and then spent the rest of the day with her. We managed lunch together, a swimming lesson, and a nice wander in the woods before heading home for tea.
I was struggling to get a shot of her and she wasn’t really up for posing either, so I thought I’d try and capture something a little dreamy while showing how big the forest is. I like how small she looks in the shot compared to the trees, some of which must have been there for centuries.
This is Ashridge forest on the Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire border.
@happypat I think I remember asking Alexis herself, but as we walking round I thought of Little Red Riding hood, so I tried to make it stand out a little amongst the greens!
Love the juxtaposition of the red against all the natural tones.
