The description is a slang expression for 'dad'. Sometimes Brits also say 'the old dear' meaning mum. I say all this because even though my dad is 63, but I don't consider him an old man. Not yet anyway :)
I love how sharp this lens is. Have I said that before over the previous few pics...? :)
He's listening to my mum talk. I went home to visit them very briefly last week and as ever we end up talking until long into the night. The X100 has a fixed f2, 35mm lens. It's lovely, although if it did have interchangeable lenses that would be super!
