Day 025, Year 2 - Doha Tilt-Shift

Looks OK and easier to see the tilt-shift when viewed large :)

I borrowed a colleagues tilt-shift lens that he has just bought and not really used yet. I have never played with one so I decided to go for a wander among the towers of Doha that you can see in the picture, then got a cab to here to look for shot. I was really playing around with what the lens could do and thought that the really over-the-top soft-to-hard focus in the foreground and background looked really cool.

I'm not a huge fan of this soft-focus tilt-shift, but more when these lenses are used for very technical architectural shots. Having said that I like the effect here, and hopefully your eyes are drawn from the couple on the bench and out toward the towers.

The almost shot is here:

I think I got the idea here. I have to say.. I´d rather see the whole thing in focus ( I know, I'm so old fashion lol) That orange building is just AWESOME! Can't get enough of that.

@stevecameras I bet it was a great experience. I´ve never even seen one like that.

Ooh that sounds fun, nice image. I like the merging of the lights and the sharp capture of the building on the right.
