Day 240, Year 3 - The Charles Bridge & Prague Castle
Another shot from my week in Prague some time ago while working therte covering the Czech Open golf tournament.
This bridge and the surrounding areas had me captivated the whole week. I loved the views, the architecture, the sense of untouched history and culture that you get from being here. It really is a beautiful city and I recommend that everyone should go and see it at least once.
Again I have managed to over do the contrast and colours, and although I like punchy I can't help but think I should be aiming for something a little more gentle on the eye.
I was aiming for a long exposure to get the smooth water in the foreground, but also underexposing for the highlights in the bridge and the castle so I ended up with a lot of dark areas and shadows. I'm not sure if better and more skilful editing to slightly brighten the shadow areas may be all that's needed or if I should maybe be shooting with some filters perhaps.
If anyone has any thoughts of constructive criticism then feel free to let me know what you think.
3 good things:
1 - A nice sunny rig day getting kit ready for the following day at the Czech Open
2 - A lovely photo walk with my colleague near the Charles Bridge
3 - A beer and a great chat with my colleague about stills cameras, photography and our work in the TV industry
