So on the 5th of September I celebrated mine and my twin sister's birthday a day early with most of my immediate family, with food and drink and some gifts and I was given a Nespresso coffee machine by my folks.
I thought about the photo of the day, including a shot of the cake, or one with my family around the house, but then I started playing with the espresso pods that come with the machine and after about half an hour I was trying different lighting and composition to get something fun.
I grabbed some phones and used the LED lights that they have and when one came into the camera frame the 'red carpet' scene came to life. I had the two behind in shot as well as another above the camera as a main 'key light' to light the pods up and this was the final effect.
It's a bit silly but I quite enjoyed the effort I put in to get the shot.

2 - Birthday dinner with my family
3 - Finally getting my hands on my own Nespresso machine
