This is coming into land at Heathrow airport last month after coming back from Belfast after working on BBC Sports Personality of the Year. We left a very cold and wet Belfast and popped through the clouds with the new sun shining for the journey back, before dropping back through the clouds to London. We had to sit in a queue before landing which gave me a chance to snap away, as the morning sunlight burst through the clouds over London.
It was awesome and although I thought I had better shots of the sun light and the rays, in the end this one came out better with the sunlight giving the countryside a nice burst of colour.
It's why I always try to get a window seat!

1 - Lovely sunlight over London as we came into land from Belfast
2 - Good to eventually arrive home in Norfolk with Alexis after driving from Heathrow, to the south coast and onto Norfolk
3 - Lovely bedtime stories with Alexis after dinner with her and my folks
