Another morning waking up and getting down to the beach for a photo before sunrise, and a run after. It was cloudy and raining whe I got there and after a few minutes sitting in the car with the heaters on full blast, the clouds parted and gave me a window of about 30 minutes to get some shots. The sun was up but hidden behind snow clouds seen left of frame, but with that little colour burst in the right of frame, I couldn't help but snap a few shots.
I love the softness of the clouds and the gentle way that the light is coming through, again the scene this morning reminding me of the old masters oil paintings.
After I took my photos I had a great run on the promenade under the wintery snowy clouds, with sunlight coming through in patches; the last ten minutes with cold sleet hitting me hard as I ran. I got soaked from head to toe and it was brilliant! :)
3 good things:
1 - A great last early morning trip to the beach before I go away to the dessert in the UAE
2 - Getting brand new, fitted running trainers from Norwich
3 - Cleaning, preparing, and eventually lighting the fire in the afternoon...still roaring as I write this
Big Fave Steve....the light & qualty here is fabulous....why no more faves? You will dream of this when you're in the hot desert. Something to be said for seasons!
