On Monday after getting back from my jaunt round the county with a pal of mine up from London, I did some things around the house, got some clothes sorted for the next few days and then went to the beach for a quick run along the promenade.
The light was fantastic. As ever, I was running and in no position to do it justice. It was OK though...I loved watching the light change as I ran up and down the seafront, thinking about the images in front of me, and trying to focus on running and not that I couldn't stop to go get my camera.
I finished the run, grabbed my camera and brolley and went back down to see if I could get something.
Then the heavens opened. I ran to the cafe a few yards from where I had perched my camera and took shelter while the storm hit, listening to the sound of the waves, as well as the roar of the wind, and the rain hitting the sea. It was awesome. And I was able to get a few shots of the wet promenade before heading home for a shower and dinner.
3 good things:
1 - Breakfast at Bay Tree Cottage bed and breakfast in Fakenham including scrambled eggs laid by the chickens in the garden that morning
2 - Getting my bags sorted for the next few days away
3 - A great run along Gorleston seafront just before the rainstorm
